DAYLILIES ARE BLOOMING THIS SPRING

The 2024 daylily season here in Central Florida has begun. One of my hybrids, “Saint Andrews White Gold” is the first again this year.

It is a small, simple, gold daylily. The flower is about 3 inches across and about 9 to 12 inches off the ground. Each scape produces around 8 or 9 blooms.

Being a daylily, the blooms only last for a single day. But, in a clump of plants, we will have blooms every day for several weeks.

I can already see other varieties getting ready to bloom in the garden as well.
