DOMINOS IN CUBA

Until I went to Cuba earlier this month, the only way I knew how to play dominos was to stand them up in a line and then tip the first over to hit the next on down the line.

My Cuban friends enjoy playing a simple Cuban game of dominos. The men played. The women played. The children played. I played. We played as individuals and as teams.

We all had fun. There was a lot of banter back and forth between players.

Every once in a while, I won. I enjoyed watching the others play.

My interpreter, Yuni, in the dark blue shirt, is a middle-school math teacher.
