INTERESTING BIRD

I saw several on my run this morning. The white ibis. Quite a few frequent our town in Central Florida. Often I see them in groups of 10 or more.

They walk around in the grass on skinny legs and poke their long curved beak into the soft soil. I assume they are finding bugs and worms to eat.

I also see the white ibis (Eudocimus albus) in the big drainage ponds. They are a wetland bird, a wading bird with those long legs.

We have a lot of different birds here, the normal song birds, little chickadees, and many of these wetland birds as well with all the rivers and lakes and lowlands in our area.

Here is one up on a park bench.
