HOW DO YOU DISCERN GOD’S WILL?

Perhaps you are not interested, but if you are, how do you and I discern God’s will in our day-to-day lives?

I’ll be joining about a dozen other adults this morning in a Sunday school class. We will be asking this question. We will share our own experiences of discovering what God wants us to do. We will learn from one another.

Here are some ways I imagine will be mentioned…

1. Scripture, grounding in God’s revealed Word

2. Prayer, quiet, listening, that “still small voice”

3. Asking trusted people, particularly other Christian friends

4. Common sense, using the mind God has given us

5. Conscience, somehow knowing right and wrong
