SMALL STEPS

A group of about 20 of us were talking yesterday about our “New Year’s Resolutions”.

Quite a few said they don’t make resolutions anymore. Some don’t because it seems like they always break them.

Several spoke about their plans to eat better or get more exercise or get rid of stuff in their lives.

One theme was taking small, steady steps. We all agreed this is a great plan. Every day take a step in the direction you have chosen.

This reminds me of the sign someone put at mile 20 in the Houston Marathon. “Left foot. Right foot. Repeat.”

Reading through the whole Bible has proven to be possible, one day at a time. Running a successful business follows the same pattern.

A toddler, with a little help from mom, achieves the goal of walking, one small step at a time. Same with eating better or getting more exercise or whatever we set our mind to.
