THE STORY BEGINS

Mark’s Gospel starts this way, “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God”. (Mark 1:1)

Mark wastes no time getting to the heart of the matter.

The beginning has many levels.

The first words of the book. A hook to capture our attention and draw us to read more.

The arrival of Jesus. It is an invitation to read through the life, teaching, ministry, and meaning of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

The introduction to the gospel or good news because Jesus has arrived. More than a story, a biography, but a revealing of the grace and power of God.

The fresh start provided for you and for me. — as we hear, as we are drawn into the story and person of Jesus Christ, the Son of God., as our eyes are opened, as we are invited into a relationship with Jesus, as we respond.

The story begins. You and I are in this story.
