White Christmas Play

WHITE CHRISTMAS PLAY DEMONSTRATES THE RESULTS OF BEING SUPPORTIVE

Last night my wife and I and a few friends joined a packed Athens Theater here in DeLand for a powerful production of Irving Berlin’s musical, “White Christmas”. It reminded me of the importance of people supporting one another.

The Columbia Inn in Vermont, owned by entrepreneur, General Waverley, is failing. Two sisters and two of their friends, with help from employees at the Inn and the family of General Waverley, hatch a plan to support him. They prepare to put on a big show to draw in business.

In essence, they rally around to encourage the General. They invite the General’s former soldiers to come to Vermont as well. With such a show of support, the older General gains new energy and decides to make the Inn a success.

Who has been there for you in your life, supporting you, holding you up, motivating you?

Who are you encouraging, mentoring, or rallying around today?
